First post of the year! At least it's still January so I'm not THAT late, right?
Emerging from my newborn bubble to say hello 👋🏻
A life and business update!
Last week I presented a design for an en suite to my clients and they loved it. With their permission, I'm sharing their design scheme with you to show a little behind the scenes and my thought process behind some of the elements. Currently it's a room that needs updating as it looks a tired and doesn't reflect the clients' style at all. They liked the idea of white and navy but I tried to elevate that concept and push it a little further. I'm delighted they are pleased and on board with the whole design. I can't wait to see how the room looks when the design is implemented in the new year. I'd love to know what you think 😊
Fashionably late as always but I have finally arrived in 2021 and made a reel. I know, calm down.
I've posted an actual photo on the grid! 😱 After sharing @pinkstormsocial's post about the hellish nightmare that is overthinking Instagram, a lot of you messaged me saying you felt the same. Some of you were really encouraging too saying "your stuff is always nice, just get on with it and post something - it doesn't have to be perfect" and you're totally right. I made a pact with @makeitprettycreative to post by the end of the week so here it is. You better be working on that reel, Sammi!
Hello, it's been a while hasn't it? Life has been somewhat chaotic recently with settling back into the house, juggling my workload, and various other things. Here's a shot of my new extension back when it was nearly finished and before we moved back in. It doesn't look like this anymore. Apparently we own a spectacular amount of shit that seems to constantly grow and accumulate so nothing is ever tidy. *sigh*
I had a fabulous day last weekend having a mooch around some artists' studios for @camopenstudios and I got to see some beautiful houses too 😍
I can barely believe I'm writing these words but I'm currently running at full capacity! If you're at all interested in getting some design advice, please drop me an email or DM as I do still have some availability in July at the moment for individual design sessions. For full room designs or more, I'm looking at about a month in advance depending on what's required. I don't like saying no to people or asking them to wait but I can't risk letting down my current clients or putting myself in a position where I couldn't give you proper focus and attention. Plus I'd rather not burn out and I can see the end of term fast approaching 😱 Any tips on juggling work and a 3 year old would be much appreciated! I can see a lot of working between 8pm-midnight in my future 😭
