In September 2016, I took part in an exciting project in collaboration with Houzz UK for designjunction as part of London Design Festival. The event took place at Kings Cross and comprised four main areas including a feature area at Granary Square. Houzz were the headline partner for this area and I was delighted to be asked to design and project manage their installation.
The brief: a 40sqm space designed to showcase key trends from Houzz based on what their users were searching for, saving, asking about and voting for. ‘Smart Living’ appeared as a consistent theme from smart storage solutions, smart ideas for small spaces and smart technology. This led to the idea of the SmartHouzz! I worked with Houzz on this for months and in September 2016, it became a reality. Houzz partnered with John Lewis, Dulux and Karndean to decorate and furnish the space so all the furniture and accessories you see are from John Lewis, the wall colours were supplied by Dulux and the flooring by Karndean. Here are a few photos and you can read the full Houzz Tour on their website.
