Master bedroom “before” photo – the room was looking quite tired and shabby needing a complete makeover and all new furniture. Unfortunately the floorboards were not in good condition.
Master bedroom “before” photo – a cupboard in one of the alcoves restricted the layout options and took up valuable space.
New furniture was sourced – pretty ceramic handles were fitted to a compact high street wardrobe giving it a bespoke look and a lovely antique chest of drawers with an Art Deco walnut top was bought from eBay. New wooden floorboards were installed in a warm shade of oak.
This bed was another fantastic eBay find. It was made of new pine with lots of knots so I had it painted in a gorgeous taupe.
The neat vintage style bedside tables add a rustic charm and feature a pull out shelf to allow an extra surface. The ceramic bedside lamps have been paired with soft linen shades.
A cosy, layered effect is achieved using different coloured pillowcases and the bold patterned cushion adds a focal point.
A tricky bedroom where space and budget were tight. It was important to be clever with storage while also creating a light calm sanctuary to relax in.
